DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before using an electric welder on the vehicle, remove any SRS parts around the area being repaired

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF
2. Disconnect negative battery terminal
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

• To 08/2009: When the SRS parts are deployed (including when only an airbag or pretensioner is deployed) due to a collision, be sure to replace all sensors (center airbag sensor assembly, front airbag sensors, side airbag sensors and rear airbag sensors) as a set. [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• From 08/2009: When the SRS parts are deployed (including when only an airbag or pretensioner is deployed) due to a collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair) and center airbag sensor assembly.

Deployed Airbag:
• Steering wheel pad [AIRBAG, STEERING WHEEL]
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Driver side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front passenger side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front seat airbag assembly [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT]
• Rear seat airbag assembly [AIRBAG,REAR SEAT]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF]

When the vehicle is damaged in a collision even when the SRS parts are not deployed, inspect the following, f any cracks, dents or other defects are found, replace them with new parts.

• Steering pad
• Driver side knee airbag assembly
• Front passenger side knee airbag assembly
• Front passenger airbag assembly
• Curtain shield airbag assemblies
• Front seat side airbag assemblies
• Rear seat side airbag assemblies
• Center airbag sensor assembly
• Front airbag sensors
• Door side airbag sensors (From 08/2009)
• Side airbag sensors
• Rear airbag sensors
• Front seat belt assembly
• Rear seat belt assembly
• Occupant classification ECU
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check
