DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
3. Wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
FRONT COLLISION, replace the following parts when the airbag is deployed:• Driver's airbag module, [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL], when the airbag is deployed
• Passenger's airbag module, [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL], when the airbag is deployed
• Driver's seat belt (pretensioner)
• Passenger's seat belt (pretensioner)
• Airbag control module, [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Front sub sensor (L/R), [AIRBAG SENSOR,FENDER]
• Roll connector [CLOCK SPRING], when the airbag is deployed
• Instrument panel (for integrating with passenger’s airbag module), when the airbag is deployed
• Passenger's side seat cushion pad and frame assembly (passenger detection system)
• Any damaged restraint system part
SIDE COLLISION, Replace the following parts when the airbag is deployed:
• Airbag control module, [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Side seat airbag module, [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT] (deployed side seat backrest)
• Side airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE], deployed side
• Curtain airbag module, [AIRBAG,ROOF], when the airbag is deployed
• Curtain airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL], deployed side
• Any damaged restraint system part
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
• Check non-deployed airbags, the mounting points, brackets and Harness and connectors• Seatbelts and seatbelt mounting points
• Sensor brackets, in the area of accident damage
• Steering wheel and steering shaft
• Check the connectors of airbag module, pretensioner, etc. for damage, and also check each harness for pinch and connector damage. Replace the harness as a unit if damage is found.
• Check the seat cushion pad and frame, backrest, seat rail and headrest for deformation, distortion, crack, and installing condition and play
• For the passenger’s seat, replace the seat cushion pad and frame assembly with a new one if the seat cushion pad and frame assembly is deformed
or cracked.
• Passenger side seat cushion cover
• Use the Subaru Select Monitor to check whether the drivers seat position sensor and the drivers and
the front left/right seat belt buckle switches are operating normally
• Check the roof trim, pillar trim. pillar pads and airbag module visually, and then replace them with new ones if damaged or cracked
• Any damaged restraint system part
