DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
3. Wait for more than 20 seconds before starting work.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

• Driver's airbag module
• Passenger's airbag module
• Driver's seat belt (pretensioner)
• Passenger's seat belt (pretensioner)
• Airbag control module
• Front sub-sensor
• Roll connector
• Any damaged restraint system part

For a side collision airbag deployment:

• Airbag control module
• Side airbag module (operating side seat bag)
• Side airbag sensor (operating side)
• Any damaged restraint system part

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Steering wheel and steering shaft
• Direct type connector of driver's airbag module
• Direct type connector of pretensioner
• Driver's airbag module harness and/or connector
• Driver seat cushion frame, backrest, seat rail and headrest
• Passenger's airbag module harness and/or connector
• Passenger airbag module mounting bracket
• Passenger seat cushion frame, backrest, seat rail and headrest (NOTE: Perform the system calibration of occupant detection system after checking condition of passenger seat)
• Driver seat position sensor switch
• Driver's and passenger's seat belt buckle switches
• Airbag control module mounting bracket
• Airbag control module harness and/or connector
• Front sub sensor mounting bracket (front airbag is deployed)
• Front sub sensor harness and/or connector (front airbag is deployed)
• Combination switch or steering roll connector
• Any restraint system part identified by diagnostic check

For a side collision airbag deployment:

• Side airbag harness and/or connector (operating side airbag is deployed)
• Side airbag sensor mounting bracket (operating side airbag is deployed)
• Side airbag sensor wiring harness and/or connector (operating side airbag is deployed)
• Front seat(s)
• Any restraint system part identified by diagnostic check
