DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
Before using an electric welder anywhere on the vehicle, disconnect the center airbag sensor assembly connectors. These connectors contain shorting springs. This feature reduces the possibility of the airbag deploying due to current entering the squib wiring.1. Turn ignition switch to OFF and remove key.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.
When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, the memory settings of each system will be cleared. Because of this, be sure to write down the settings of each system before starting work. When work is finished, reset the settings of each system as before. Never use a backup power supply from outside the vehicle to avoid erasing the memory in a system

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
With a front airbag deployment:• Steering wheel pad [AIRBAG, STEERING WHEEL], (if deployed)
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL], (if deployed)
• Driver side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER], (if deployed)
• Front passenger side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER], (if deployed)
• The front airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FENDER] on the impacted side should be replaced after the steering pad, front passenger airbag assembly, driver side knee airbag assembly or front passenger side knee airbag assembly has deployed.
• Center airbag sensor assembly, [MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]
With a side airbag deployment:
• If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat assembly with a new one [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT]
• Rear seat side airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,REAR SEAT], (if deployed)
• The side airbag sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR, SIDE] on the impacted side should be replaced after the front seat airbag assembly and curtain shield airbag assembly have deployed.
• Center airbag sensor assembly, [MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]
With a side curtain airbag deployment:
• Curtain shield airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,ROOF], (if deployed)
• The side/ rear airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR, SIDE, AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL] on the impacted side should be replaced after the curtain shield airbag assembly has deployed
• Center airbag sensor assembly, [MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
• Spiral cable: Check that there are no scratches or cracks on its connector, and that the cable does not have cracks, dents or chipping [CLOCK SPRING]• Steering Pad
• Steering wheel
• Instrument panel
• Instrument panel reinforcement
• Seat position sensor
• Occupant classification ECU
• Seats and seat mounting points
• SRS wire harness or connector
• Non-Deployed Airbag Assemblies and mounting points
• Headliner and related trim
• Front Airbag Sensor
• Seat Position Sensor
• Occupant Classification ECU
• Side Airbag Sensor
• Rear Airbag Sensor
• If any of the SRS parts are dropped, or if any cracks, dents or other defects are found, replace them with new parts
• Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check of the occupant classification system
