DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Except when performing electrical inspections:
1. Always turn the ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
3. Wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Ignited seat Belt Pretensioner (BPT)
• SRS wiring harness
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• Replace the clock spring if there is any problem after checking the clock spring for damage when the Driver Airbag (DAB) module is
deployed.

When the Side Airbag (SAB)/Curtain Airbag (CAB) module is deployed after a crash, replace the following components:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG,ROOF; AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT BACK]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
•SRS wiring harness
•Ignited seat Belt Pretensioner (BPT)

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Before doing any SRS repairs, use the KDS/GDS to check for DTCs. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code list for repairing of the related DTCs.

• Steering wheel and column
• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring.
• After repairing the vehicle, check if the SRS operates normally.Turn IG ON. The airbag warning lamp should turns off after turning on for 3 • 6 seconds
