DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect DTCs before disconnecting the battery.

1. Turn engine switch OFF
2. Disconnect negative battery cable from the battery
3. Wait at least 90 seconds

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

With a front airbag deployment:
• Deployed Steering wheel mounted airbag [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Deployed Instrument Panel mounted, Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Deployed Driver side knee airbag [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Deployed Front passenger side knee airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Center airbag sensor assembly, [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• The front airbag sensor on the impacted side should be replaced after the steering pad, front passenger airbag assembly, driver side knee airbag assembly or front passenger side knee airbag assembly has deployed [AIRBAG SENSOR,FENDER]

With a seat side airbag deployment:
• If the side airbag has deployed, replace the front seat assembly with a new one [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT]
• If the Rear side airbag has deployed, replace the Rear side airbag with a new one [AIRBAG,QTR PANEL]
• Center airbag sensor assembly, [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• The side airbag sensor on the impacted side should be replaced after the front seat side airbag assembly and curtain shield airbag assembly have deployed [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]

With curtain shield airbag deployment:
• Deployed Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• The side airbag sensor on the impacted side should be replaced after the front seat side airbag assembly and curtain shield airbag assembly have deployed [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• The rear airbag sensor on the impacted side should be replaced after the curtain shield airbag assembly has deployed [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Even in the case of a minor collision that does not cause the SRS to deploy, the following components of the SRS should be inspected:
• Steering Pad
• Front Passenger Airbag Assembly
• Driver Side Knee Airbag Assembly
• Front Passenger Side Knee Airbag Assembly
• Front Seat Side Airbag Assembly
• Rear Seat Side Airbag Assembly
• Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly
• Center Airbag Sensor Assembly
• Front Airbag Sensor
• Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly
• Seat Position Airbag Sensor
• Occupant Classification ECU
• Side Airbag Sensor
• Rear Airbag Sensor
• Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly
• Rear Seat Outer Belt Assembly
