DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before doing any SRS repairs, use the HDS SRS menu method to check for DTCs.

Make sure you have the anti-theft code(s) for the audio and/or the navigation system (if equipped)

Before removing any of the SRS parts (including the disconnection of the connectors), always disconnect the associated SRS connector. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0)
2. Ground the SCS line with the HDS to take the PCM out of active status
3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
4. Wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work
