DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before using an electric welder anywhere on the vehicle, disconnect the center airbag sensor assembly connectors. These connectors contain shorting springs. This feature reduces the possibility of the airbag deploying due to current entering the squib wiring.

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF and remove key.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed due to the collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas and center airbag sensor assembly [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL; MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

Deployed Airbag(s):
• Steering Pad [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Driver side knee airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front seat airbag assembly
• Front seat airbag sub-assembly RH [AIRBAG,FRT SEAT CUSHION]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Perform a diagnostic system check

• Steering Pad [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Driver side knee airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front seat airbag assembly; seat assy
• Front seat airbag sub-assembly RH; seat assy
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Front Airbag Sensor
• Seat Position Sensor
• Occupant Classification ECU
• Side Airbag Sensor
• Rear Airbag Sensor
• Steering wheel
• Instrument panel/ Instrument panel reinforcement
• Front pillar garnish and Headliner
• SRS wire harness/ connectors
• If any of the SRS parts are dropped, or if any cracks, dents or other defects are found, replace them with new parts
• Perform the zero point calibration and sensitivity check
