DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
Before removing any of the SRSCM parts (including the disconnection of the connectors), always disconnect the SRSCM connector1. Turn ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
3. Wait at least three minutes before beginning work

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL; AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY (FRT); AIRBAG,ROOF; AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY (RR)]
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• Replace the crash pad which is damaged when passenger airbag (PAB) is deployed.
• The side airbag cannot be disassembled from the seat back assembly, so replace the seat back assembly when replacing the side airbag
When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL; AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY (FRT); AIRBAG,ROOF; AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY (RR)]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• SRS wiring harnesses
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
Before doing any SRS repairs, use the GDS to check for DTCs. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code list for repairing of the related DTCs.• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring.
After the vehicle is completely repaired, confirm the SRS airbag system is OK.
• Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator should come on for about six seconds and then go off.
