DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.

When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, the memory of various systems will be cleared. Because of this, be sure to make a record of the contents memorized in each system before starting work. When work is finished, adjust each system to its previous state.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed due to the collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas and center airbag sensor assembly [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL; AIRBAG SENSOR,FLOOR; MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]

• Deployed Steering wheel pad [AIRBAG, STEERING WHEEL]
• Deployed Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Deployed Driver side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Deployed Front passenger side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Deployed Curtain shield airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Deployed Side seat airbag [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT; AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,MIDDLE]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Steering pad [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Instrument panel passenger airbag [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Curtain shield airbag [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Front seat airbag [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT]
• Rear seat side airbag [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,MIDDLE]
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Rear floor side airbag sensor[AIRBAG SENSOR,FLOOR]
• Seat belt pretensioner
• Center airbag sensor [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Front airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• Side airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR]
• Rear airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• Occupant classification ECU
• Replace the faulty parts of the seat belt systems (outer belt, inner belt, bolts, nuts, adjustable shoulder anchor, tether anchor hardware and other related parts). When inspecting a vehicle that was in a collision, be sure to check all of the seat belt systems regardless of whether or not the system was activated in the collision. Replace any damaged or malfunctioning systems
