PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
For a front airbag deployment:• Airbag modules that have not deployed
• Steering wheel and Steering wheel harness, connectors and terminals
• Seat belt pre-tensioner assemblies
• Check the center inner pillar on the collision side for damage (dents, cracks, deformation, etc.)
• If the center pillar inner has been damaged, REPLACE the seat belt pre-tensioner assembly
• Occupant classification system (Passenger seat)
• Wiring harness, connectors and terminals. If damaged • REPLACE the damaged harness. Do not attempt to repair, splice or modify any SRS harness.
• Instrument panel (if damaged, replace with new bolts)
• Seatbelts and seatbelt mounting points
• Seats and seat mounting points.
• Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage. (dents, cracks and deformation, etc.)
• Do not attempt to repair, splice or modify any SRS harness.
• NISSAN recommends that all seat belt assemblies in use during a collision be replaced unless the collision was minor and the belts show no damage and continue to operate properly.
For a side airbag deployment:
• Airbag modules that have not deployed
• Seats and seat mounting points.
• Check the center inner pillar on the collision side for damage (dents, cracks, deformation, etc.)
• Seatbelts and seatbelt mounting points
• Occupant classification system (Passenger seat)
• Trim/headliner
• Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage. (dents, cracks and deformation, etc.)
• If the center pillar inner has been damaged, REPLACE the seat belt pre-tensioner assembly
• Do not attempt to repair, splice or modify any SRS harness.
• NISSAN recommends that all seat belt assemblies in use during a collision be replaced unless the collision was minor and the belts show no damage and continue to operate properly. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury in an accident. Seat belt assemblies not in use during a collision should also be replaced if either damage or improper operation is noted
