DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
Before disconnecting the battery set the ignition button in "OFF" position and lower front and rear door windowsa few centimetres. This will prevent windows from being damaged during door opening and closing while battery is
disconnected.
1.Open luggage compartment, lift upper spare wheel cover and remove battery inspection flap.
2. Disconnect the quick coupling connector from battery negative pole.
After battery disconnection wait at least 10 minutes before disassembling module.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
Under standard conditions, Airbag is activated under the action of the electronic ignition device during collision. The gasdeveloping under these conditions is mainly nitrogen, which is not toxic.
After an accident, if vehicle can be repaired, the following parts shall be replaced:
•Exploded Airbag module [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
•Pretensioners and belts
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
The airbag system components must never be repaired, but always replacedIf all safety procedures are correctly
carried out, removed modules can be split into their different components such as steel, aluminium and plastic material or
left whole, and can be disposed of as special waste. As such, they will have to be recorded on the waste loading/unloading
register and given to carriers and disposal centres duly authorised to handle special waste.
