Ask I-CAR

Per I-CAR curriculum: “Weld-on attachments require welding the attachments to the damaged area, which creates excessive heat. Excessive heat can weaken HSS parts, such as reinforcements and rails. Part replacement, either completely or partially, is often required when weld-on attachments are used for structural straightening. If used to straighten an exterior cosmetic panel, part replacement may not be required."
