Per Tesla vehicle-specific body repair manual, Approved MIG Welding Wire for Structural Repairs:
“The only approved MIG welding wire for structural repairs on Tesla vehicles is 1.2 mm (.045 in) diameter aluminum welding wire ER4145.”
