Acura Has Released The 2022 MDX Body Repair News Bulletin
Acura has released a Repair News bulletin for the 2022 Acura MDX. This document provides relevant repair information at a glance for this redesigned vehicle.
The 2022 MDX Model Series: New Body Repair Information document gives an overview on some of the features on this redesigned 2021 model that may cause changes on how the vehicle is repaired.
It highlights the use of 1,500 MPa steel for the inner and outer stiffener ring (D-ring), 1,180 MPa steel in both the upper and lower front rails, and 980 MPa for the rear rails.
Acura states: "Impact-resistant structural adhesive is used extensively throughout this vehicle." This is evident as the bulletin addresses roof panel, front apron (front damper housing), and outer D-ring replacement; all of which require adhesive. Information on Acura recommended adhesive is also provided.
There are details on proper front fender installation, as well as information on how to gain access to the front upper control arm (front upper arm) retaining nut.
Acura states that this is a summary, and to always refer to the body repair manual (BRM) for complete repair information.
