Is there a sectioning procedure available for the front lower rail?

Response

Ford has a sectioning procedure for the front lower rail. The procedures can be found at www.motorcraftservice.com

Per the 2015 Ford F-150 Workshop manual: “NOTICE: This section of the frame MUST NOT be straightened if any holes or surfaces show evidence of collapse or buckling. If any evidence of damage exists BEHIND the first frame cross member in terms of buckling, cracking, etc. then the entire front frame section or entire frame must be replaced.”

Here is a short video that shows how to access the Ford collision repair information.

A tool that may be used to find out if the vehicle maker has a partial replacement or sectioning procedure is the I-CAR developed OEM Partial Part Replacement Search.
