Ford does not have a sectioning procedure for the front lower rails.
Per the 2012 Ford Explorer Workshop manual: "NOTICE: Frame members are made of combinations of HSLA and UHSS . Because of this, sectioning is not recognized by Ford Motor Company. Frame members must be replaced at the factory seams."
