What does I-CAR say about printing the fault codes before disconnecting the battery?
Response
Per I-CAR curriculum: "When preparing to inspect any restraint system or parts, you should start by using a vehicle maker-recommended scan tool to identify all DTCs currently stored in the system. You should then document any relevant information before disabling the SRS because disabling the system may erase some DTCs. This pre-scan will help to guide the diagnostic process by identifying circuits or parts that have set a DTC."
