What does Subaru say about repairing non-SRS wiring?

Per our contact at Subaru: "For the best quality repair we do not recommend disassembly of the harness for parts. I do understand the temptation to save labor time though, but our recommendation is to replace the harness.
Non-SRS harnesses may be repaired in such a way to ensure a quality repair. For example, soldering and heat-shrinking, replacing pins, or replacing the connector housing. However, these parts are not available for purchase which is why the harness itself is available.”
