Chevrolet has a sectioning procedure for the outer quarter panel. The procedures can be found at www.acdelcotds.com

Per the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban body repair manual, outer quarter panel sectioning procedure: “overlap the remaining original panel by 25 mm (1 inch) at each joint”
