Ask I-CAR
Honda
Request
Is there a sectioning procedure available for the rear rail on the 4-door model?
Response
Honda does not have a sectioning procedure for the rear rail on the 4-door model.
Per the 2016 Honda Civic body repair manual: "Check the rear frame position for damage. If necessary, replace the rear floor frame complete. The rear portion of the rear frame cannot be sectioned."
Honda has a partial replacement at factory seams procedure for the rear rail floor closeout panel. The procedures can be found at: techinfo.honda.com

A tool that may be used to find out if the vehicle maker has a partial replacement or sectioning procedure is the I-CAR developed OEM Partial Part Replacement Search.
