Is there a sectioning procedure available for the rear rail?

Response

Ford does not have a sectioning procedure for the rear rail.

Per the 2015 Ford Explorer workshop manual: NOTICE: “Frame members are a combination of HSLA and UHSS . Because of this design feature, sectioning is not recognized by Ford Motor Company. Frame Members must be replaced at the factory seams.”

A tool that may be used to find out if the vehicle maker has a partial replacement or sectioning procedure is the I-CAR developed OEM Partial Part Replacement Search.
