Per I-CAR curriculum: "During deployment, some passenger airbags may cause damage to other related parts. Instrument panel damage resulting from airbag deployment should not be repaired. In some cases, airbag system design may cause the airbag to deflect off the windshield, resulting in damage to the windshield.

Damaged airbag covers should not be repaired."
