2018 SkillsUSA National Competition

The 54th annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference took place June 25-29, 2018 in Louisville, KY. Every year I-CAR sends volunteers to judge the collision repair technology competition. Let’s take a look at this year’s results.

The winners of the collision repair technology competition are:

  • First – Caleb Eyler - High School
  • Second – Noah Borer – High School
  • Third – Abagayle Boden – High School
  • First – Johnathan Wolfe – College
  • Second – Kyle Ray – College
  • Third – Juan Alcala – College

The winners of the automotive refinishing technology competition are:

  • First – Elmer Hernandez – High School
  • Second – Alec Hoover – High School
  • Third – Kyle Coombs – High School
  • First – Scotty George – College
  • Second – Ashley Carravallah – College
  • Third – Anthony Black - College

Also, during this year’s competition, two previous medalists had a faceoff to win the opportunity to be the USA representative to the World Skills competition in Russia 2019. Congratulations goes to David Fors, who took first place and to the runner up, Frederick Teed II.
