Locating ADAS Information: FCA/Stellantis

As a collision repair technician, there is one part of a service manual that houses all of the information you would ever need…right? This is not the case with modern vehicles. You may be required to look in numerous manuals to find the information required to safely repair the vehicle.

The Repairability Technical Support (RTS) portal has videos posted to show you how to navigate specific OEM body repair manuals (BRMs), but this sometimes just gets you in the door. If you are looking for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) information in the BRM, you may not find any information at all. ADAS information is not normally located in the body repair manual. You may have to go into the service manual to find ADAS or a separate manual altogether. Luckily, the RTS team has already navigated most of the OEM repair manuals and we’ve found the ADAS information. Let’s see where to find ADAS information from FCA/Stellantis.

Log into stellantisiop.com and go to the vehicle-specific service information.

Once the service information is open, click on 08 - Electrical. ADAS information is found in the following categories:

  • Audio/Video/Entertainment/Connectivity: This is where information on systems like rear view is found.
  • Chime/Buzzer/Driver Assist: This is where information on systems like park assist, 360° camera view, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, collision warning, and collision braking are found.
  • Lamps and Lighting: This is where information on adaptive lighting systems are found.
  • Speed Control: This is where information on adaptive cruise control is found.
  • Driver Assistance: This is where all ADAS information is found in some service manuals.

This is also where most ADAS component R&I procedures and calibration procedures are found.

Some calibration events are found in these categories. You may also have to look in the R&I procedure for the body part that the ADAS component is attached to.
