Locating OEM-Approved ADAS Tools: Nissan/INFINITI

When researching calibration procedures for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), you may notice that many of the procedures require the use of specific tools. Some tools may be everyday items like string, tape, levels, paper, etc. However, many of them are OEM-specific tools or scan tools. Often identifying and locating where to purchase these specific tools can be difficult.

The RTS team is researching how to find these tools to make it easier for technicians performing these procedures. As we research the location of these special tools, we are compiling the information in a series of OEM-specific articles. Let’s see where you can find Nissan/INFINITI-approved tool information.

Scan tool programming and software information can be found for free at www.nissan-techinfo.com and www.infiniti-techinfo.com. Once you are on the website, select a country. This will take you to the home page where there are links to documents for:

  • CONSULT
  • Diagnostic Software
  • NERS J2534 ECU Programming

Nissan/INFINITI provides a chart of approved non-OEM scan tools that can be used with the use of the correct software downloaded onto them.

To purchase scan tools and other OEM approved tools, go to the TechMate Nissan Authorized Tools And Equipment or the TechMate INFINITI Authorized Tools And Equipment website. Use the search bar at the top of the website to search a specific part number or keyword. You can also use the categories on the side of the webpage to browse for tools.

Always follow OEM procedures when calibrating ADAS. Make sure to check procedures for the required tools to help ensure a complete, safe, and quality repair.
