Sectioning and Partial Part Replacement: 2019 Lexus UX 200

One of the top technical inquiries received at Ask I-CAR is, “Is there a sectioning or partial replacement procedure available?” To help answer this question, RTS has an OEM Partial Part Replacement Search available. Here you will find information on if these procedures are available on a specific vehicle. Let’s take a closer look at the 2019 Lexus UX 200.

The full OEM Partial Part Replacement Search page for the 2019 Lexus UX 200 can be viewed on the I-CAR website. This will give you a good understanding on general areas for sectioning or partial replacement. I-CAR does not have permission to show exact locations for sectioning or the procedure itself. However, Lexus has a paid subscription website with collision repair information.

The front lower rail has a single location in which it can be sectioned. The front upper rail has OEM procedures available for partial part replacement at factory seams. The outer uniside and inner uniside have sectioning procedures available, according to the body repair manual. The uniside reinforcements, however, do not have OEM sectioning procedures available.

Both the rear rails and the trunk floor can be partially replaced at factory seams. The trunk floor has multiple locations in which it can be replaced at factory seams, and the rear rail has a single location in which it can be replaced at a factory seam. There are no OEM procedures for the rear body panel.
