Mazda Position Statement: Pre- and Post-Repair System Scanning

Mazda, as with many other OEMs, has issued a pre- and post-repair scanning position statement. Let’s take a look at this position statement.

Mazda states that due to the new technology on vehicles, that pre-repair and post-repair scanning is necessary.

Per the Mazda Scanning A Vehicle Before And After A Collision Repair position statement: “Mazda North American Operations recommends that all vehicles being repaired for collision damage be scanned before and after the repair.” They also mention that if any of the sensors or cameras are damaged in a collision, that a DTC will be stored.

You can view additional Mazda position statements on the RTS website.
