OEM Linking Pin: Nissan/INFINITI Outer Uniside Sectioning - Cut Line Clarification

As part of the I-CAR Repairability Technical Support (RTS) OEM linking pin activity, we are helping to connect the collision repair industry to the vehicle makers. We‘ve had technical inquiries that asked for clarification on cut line locations for the outer uniside of Nissan/INFINITI vehicles. Specifically, when measurements are not shown within the procedure. We reached out to our contact at Nissan/INFINITI for clarification.

Per our contact at Nissan: "Some procedures have an exact measurement for the sectioning location, you simply need remove the spot welds between the sectioning locations. In cases that an exact measurement is not given, the repair facility would need to count the number of welds called out in the procedure and place the sectioning location in the space that is in the middle of the last weld that needs to be removed and the next weld that will remain."

Before beginning any repairs, always check the latest vehicle-specific body repair manual. This will help ensure a complete, safe, and quality repair.
