DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position.2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for more than 1 minute to allow the backup power supply of the SAS control module to deplete its stored power.
PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
For a pretensioner deployment:• Front seat buckles (include pretensioners)
• Crash zone sensor
• SAS control module
For a front airbag deployment:
• Driver and/or front passenger airbag modules (if deployed)
• Front seat buckles (include pretensioners)
• Crash zone sensor
• SAS control module
• Passenger seat and seat weight sensor with new ones after the front air bags have operated (deployed)
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified as damaged or faulty by diagnostic check
• Any damaged restraint system part
For a side airbag deployment:
• Side airbag modules (if deployed)
• Front seat buckles (include pretensioners)
• Seat back (pad, frame, trim)
• Side airbag sensor
• SAS control module
• Passenger seat assembly and seat weight sensor
• Any damaged restraint system part
For a curtain airbag deployment:
• Curtain airbag modules (if deployed)
• Front seat buckles (include pretensioners)
• SAS control module
• Any damaged restraint system part
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
• Wiring harness and connectors• Clockspring
• Seat belts
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check
For a curtain airbag deployment:
• Headliner and headlining trim
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check
