DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn engine switch OFF and remove key.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait 90 seconds.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed, replace the airbag sensors and check the installation condition.

• Steering wheel mounted airbag [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL] [If Deployed]
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL] [If Deployed]
• Front seat side airbag assembly [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT] [If Deployed]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF] [If Deployed]
• Center airbag sensor assembly, [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• When any of the airbags have deployed, replace the airbag sensors and check the installation condition [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]


PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Always confirm DTCs before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal
• Spiral cable [CLOCK SPRING]
• Steering Pad [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Steering wheel
• Front passenger airbag [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Instrument panel
• Instrument panel reinforcement
• Curtain shield airbag [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Front seat side airbag [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT]
• Seat belt pretensioner
• Center airbag sensor [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Front airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• Side airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• Rear airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• Occupant classification ECU
• Seat position airbag sensor
• Perform the initialization of the occupant classification ECU
• Front pillar garnish and Headliner
• Wire harnesses and connectors
• If an SRS part has been dropped, or if there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace the SRS part with a new one.
