DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before doing any SRS repairs, use the GDS to check for DTCs. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code list for
repairing of the related DTCs.

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
3. Wait at least 3 minutes

Before removing any of the SRS parts (including the disconnection of the connectors), always disconnect the SRS connector

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL; AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• Anchor pretensioner
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• Replace the crash pad which is damaged while Passenger Airbag (PAB) is deployed

When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG,ROOF; AIRBAG & BOLSTER,SEAT]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• When the front side airbag deployed after a collision, replace the seat back as an assembly
• When the rear side airbag deployed after a collision, replace the rear side seat back (bolster) as an assembly

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Steering wheel
• When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring.
