DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1) Turn the ignition switch OFF
2) Disconnect negative battery cable from battery.
3) Wait 3 minutes before beginning work.

Before removing any of the SRSCM parts (including the disconnection of the connectors), always disconnect the
SRSCM connector.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• Anchor pretensioner(s)
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• Replace the crash pad which has been damaged after the passenger airbag (PAB) [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL] has been deployed

When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• The side airbag cannot be disassembled from the seat back assembly, so replace the seat back assembly when replacing the side airbag [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Before doing any SRS repairs, use the GDS Pro to check for DTCs. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code list for repairing of the related DTCs.
• When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring
• Steering wheel
• Weight Classification System (WCS) reset and accuracy check
