DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect DTCs before disconnecting the battery.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect negative (-) cable
3. Wait at least 90 seconds

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed due to the collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas and center airbag sensor assembly: [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE (4 dr only and w/ side Airbag assy and roof airbag assy); AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL (w/ side Airbag assy and roof airbag assy); MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

• Driver's Airbag [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL], [if deployed]
• Passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL], [if deployed]
• Front seat side airbag, if equipped [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT], [if deployed]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly, if equipped [AIRBAG,ROOF], [if deployed]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Even in the case of a minor collision when the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected. If a defect is found (e.g. cracks, dents or any other defects) in any of the housings, brackets or connectors, then replace the part with a new one.

• Steering pad
• Front passenger airbag assembly
• Center airbag sensor assembly
• Front airbag sensor
• Front seat inner belt assembly
• Seat position sensor
• Occupant classification ECU
• Front seat side airbag assembly
• Side airbag sensor
• Curtain shield airbag assembly
• Rear airbag sensor
• Front seat outer belt assembly
• Front pillar garnish and roof headlining
• Instrument Panel
• Perform the zero point calibration and sensitivity check
• When an accident vehicle is brought into the workshop for repair, check the flatness of the floor where the front passenger seat is mounted. If the flatness is not within +• 3.0 mm (0.118 in.), adjust it to the specified range.
