PrintDISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.2. Disconnect battery negative terminal first.
3. Wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.
PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
For front airbag deployment:• SRS unit [Module, Airbag Control]
• Deployed airbag(s)
• Seatbelt pretensioners
• Front impact sensors
• Any damaged restraint system part
For side/curtain airbag deployment:
• SRS unit [Module, Airbag Control]
• Deployed airbag(s)
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s)
• Any damaged restraint system part
For seat belt pretensioner(s) deployment:
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• SRS unit [Module, Airbag Control]
• Front impact sensor
• Any damaged restraint system part
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
• Steering wheel and column• Instrument panel
• SRS wiring harness
• Clockspring (part of combination switch assembly)
• All airbag system parts and wiring identified by diagnostic unit check
