DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect DTCs before disconnecting the battery.

1. Turn ignition switch to the ”LOCK” position
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable is from the battery
3. Wait at least 90 seconds

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

With a front airbag deployment:
• Steering Pad, if deployed [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Front passenger airbag assembly, if deployed [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Front airbag sensors on the impacted side [AIRBAG SENSOR,FENDER]
• Airbag sensor assembly center [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

With a side airbag deployment:
• Front seat side airbag assembly, if deployed
• Side airbag sensor assembly on the impacted side [AIRBAG SENSOR,INTERIOR]
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

With a curtain shield airbag deployment:
• Curtain shield airbag assembly, if deployed [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Side airbag sensor assembly on the impacted side [AIRBAG SENSOR,INTERIOR]
• Rear airbag sensors on the impacted side [AIRBAG SENSOR,INTERIOR]
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Any damaged restraint system part

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

If the components below have been dropped, or if there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace with a new one:
• Steering Pad
(steering wheel mounted airbag)
• Front Passenger Airbag Assembly
• Front Seat Side Airbag Assembly
• Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly
• Front Airbag Sensor
• Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly
• Seat Position Airbag Sensor
• Occupant classification ECU
• Side Airbag Sensor
• Rear Airbag Sensor
• Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly

Additionally inspect the:
• Steering wheel
• Instrument panel
• Instrument panel reinforcement
• front pillar garnish and roof headlining
• Wire harness and connectors

• Replace the faulty parts of the seat belt systems (outer belt, inner belt, bolts, nuts, adjustable shoulder
anchor, tether anchor hardware, etc.).
• Seat belt systems not in use at the time of a collision should also be inspected and replaced if found
to be damaged or working improperly
• OCC: Perform the zero point calibration and sensitivity check
• When an accident vehicle is brought into the workshop for repair, check the flatness of the body side
that is equipped with the passenger seat
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check
