What does I-CAR say about following vehicle maker sectioning guidelines?

Per I-CAR curriculum: "It is recommended to only follow the part replacement guidelines outlined by the vehicle maker. If a vehicle maker does not offer sectioning guidelines, then sectioning should not be done."
"It is important to note that the procedures provided by the vehicle maker are service specifications, not recommendations. I-CAR’s position is that if vehicle maker procedures or recommendations are not available, DO NOT SECTION."
