Accessing Disable Procedure

To find the Volkswagen High-Voltage Disable Procedures:

  1. Go to www.erwin.vw.com
  2. Enter username and password (right side of webpage)
  3. Click Login
  4. Click OK (popup window)
  5. Click Service Information tab (top of webpage)
  6. Enter vehicle
    • option 1: Enter VIN (vehicle identification number tab)
    • option 2: Select Year and Model (guided search tab)
  7. Category 1, select Repair Manual
  8. Leave Category 2 blank
  9. Click Search
  10. Select Electric Rear Wheel Drive EIP220 and All Wheel Drive EIA210 from list
  11. Click OK (popup window)
  12. Scroll down to the last page and click OK
  13. Scroll down to the table of contents and click High Voltage System, De-Energizing

  • Observe the maximum drying time of 45 minutes at a drying temperature of 60°C (140°F).
  • Protect all high-voltage components from direct infrared radiation when IR drying." (surface temperature)
