Accessing Disable Procedure
To find the Nissan High-Voltage Disable Procedures:
- Go to www.nissan-techinfo.com
- Click United States
- Enter username and password (lower left of webpage)
- Click Submit
- Click View Nissan Publications (top left of webpage)
- Select Service Manual, Model, and Year from dropdowns (right side of webpage)
- Click Search (top right corner of webpage)
- Click Eye icon by the hybrid service manual (right side of webpage)
- Click A: General Information (left menu)
- Go to General Information category, click GI - General Information
- Click Precaution (left menu)
- Click Cautions as to High-Voltage (left menu)
- Click How to Disconnect High-Voltage (left menu)
- Click High-Voltage Shut-Off Procedure (left menu)
Hybrid And Electric Vehicle Welding Best Practices
When welding on a hybrid vehicle or electric vehicle, follow the same precautions as when welding on a conventional vehicle. In addition, there are precautions to take with the high-voltage battery. As a best practice, disconnect both the 12 V battery and the high-voltage battery service disconnect. (Note: Always disable the high-voltage battery following the vehicle makers repair information and follow all safety precautions.)
