DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before doing any SRS repairs, use the KDS/GDS to check for DTCs. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code list for repairing of the related DTCs.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable
3. Wait at least three minutes before beginning work

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items.
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Seat belt pretensioner(s) [PRETENSIONER,FRT SEATBELT]
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• SRS wiring harnesses
•Replace the crash pad which is damaged while PAB is deployed.

When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items.
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
•Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG,ROOF; BOLSTER,SEAT]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• SRS wiring harnesses

When the front side airbag has deployed after a collision, replace the seat back as an assembly

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring.
• Steering Wheel
• After the vehicle is completely repaired, confirm the SRS airbag system is OK
