PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the SRS parts are deployed (including when only an airbag, pretensioner or selectable force limiter is deployed) due to a collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair) and airbag sensor assembly (center airbag sensor assembly). [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL; MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

Deployed airbags:
• Horn button assembly [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• [Driver side] Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Instrument panel passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Curtain shield airbag assemblies [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Front seat airbag assemblies [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT BACK]
• Front seat airbag sub-assembly [AIRBAG,FRT SEAT CUSHION]
• Front seat outer belt assemblies

• If the front seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback pad and separate type front seatback cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage

• If the front seat airbag sub-assembly RH was deployed, replace the front seat airbag sub-assembly RH, separate type front seat cushion spring assembly, separate type front seat cushion pad and separate type front seat cushion cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Visually check the airbag sensors in undamaged areas for defects. If any defects are found or an airbag sensor has detected a major collision, replace the airbag sensor with a new one.

• Airbag sensor assembly (center airbag sensor assembly)
• Front airbag sensors
• Door side airbag sensors
• Rear airbag sensors
• Seat position airbag sensor
• Horn button assembly
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly
• Instrument panel passenger airbag assembly
• Curtain shield airbag assemblies
• Front seat airbag assemblies
• Front seat airbag sub-assembly
• Front seat outer belt assemblies
• As the SRS parts are very hot after being deployed, ensure that all wire harnesses and connectors around deployed SRS parts are not damaged.
• It is necessary to replace any airbag sensors in undamaged areas that have registered a major collision, or which exhibit any external damage
• Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check

Additionally inspect the:
• Steering wheel
• Instrument panel brace sub-assembly
• Instrument panel reinforcement assembly
• Instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly
• Front pillar garnish and Headliner assembly

Replace any faulty parts of the seat belt systems (outer belt, inner belt, bolts, nuts, adjustable shoulder anchor, tether anchor hardware and other related parts). When inspecting a vehicle that was in a collision, be sure to check all of the seat belt systems regardless of whether or not the system was activated in the collision. Replace any damaged or malfunctioning systems.
