DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

• Always confirm DTCs before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal

1. Turn power switch off.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative auxiliary battery terminal.
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.

• Before using an electric welder on the vehicle, remove any SRS parts around the area being repaired.
• Before repairs, remove the airbag sensor assemblies if impacts are likely to be applied to the sensor during repairs

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed, replace the related airbag sensor and inspect its normal operation.

• Horn button assembly [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Instrument panel passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Front seat airbag assembly [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT]
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front seat cushion airbag assembly RH [AIRBAG,FRT SEAT CUSHION]
• Airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

• Front airbag sensor: When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all front airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• Door side airbag sensor: When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all door side airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair).
• Side airbag sensor assembly: When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all side airbag sensor assembly in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; note, this vehicle has 2 sensors per side mounted at the lower B-Pillar]
• Rear airbag sensor assembly: When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all rear airbag sensor assembly in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]

Front seat airbag assembly [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT]:
• If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the extent of the collision damage.

Front seat cushion airbag assembly RH [AIRBAG,FRT SEAT CUSHION]:
• Make sure that the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly RH is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Always confirm DTCs before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal

• Horn button assembly
• Instrument panel passenger airbag assembly
• Curtain shield airbag assembly
• Front seat airbag assembly
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly
• Front seat outer belt assembly
• Front seat cushion airbag assembly RH
• Rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly
• Front seat inner belt assembly
• Airbag sensor assembly
• Front airbag sensor
• Door side airbag sensor
• Side airbag sensor assembly
• Seat position airbag sensor
• Occupant detection ECU
• Perform initialization of the occupant detection ECU
