DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

When working on pyrotechnic components and on the airbag control module -J234• , the battery ground cable must be disconnected with the ignition switched on. Then cover
the negative pole.. Wait for 10 seconds after disconnecting the battery.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

• All triggered airbag units
• Support and bracket for the front passenger airbag unit with a
deployed front passenger airbag.
• Return ring with slip ring, if driver side airbag deployed. [CLOCK SPRING]
• All seat belts with triggered belt tensioners
– All faulty components

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• If the seat rails and/or seat pan is replaced after an accident due to deformations resulting from a crash, the passive occupant detection system must be replaced using the passive occupant detection system service kit -G452• .
• Child seat anchors must be checked for damage or deformations
after an accident
• Seat belt system

If needed (visual inspection), the following must also be replaced:
all faulty components
