DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF and remove key.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed due to the collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE] and airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

Deployed Airbag(s):
• Horn button assembly [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front seat airbag assembly [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF]

If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback cover and front seat frame with adjuster assembly with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Horn button assembly [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Instrument panel passenger without door airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Front airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• Front seat airbag assembly [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT]
• Side airbag sensor assembly [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Rear airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• Seat position airbag sensor
• Occupant detection ECU
• Seatbelts

Additionally inspect the:
• Steering wheel
• Instrument panel/ Instrument panel reinforcement
• Front pillar garnish and Headliner
• SRS wire harness/ connectors

Perform the zero point calibration and sensitivity check if any of the following conditions apply.
• The occupant detection ECU is replaced.
• Accessories (seatback tray and seat cover, etc.) are installed.
• The front passenger seat is removed from the vehicle.
• The passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator (OFF) comes on when the front passenger seat is not occupied.
• The vehicle is brought to the workshop for repair due to an accident or a collision.

NOTICE:
When an accident vehicle is brought into the workshop for repair, check the flatness of the floor where the front passenger seat is mounted. If the flatness is not within +• 3.0 mm (0.118 in.), adjust it to the specified range
