DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable is from the battery
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed, replace the related airbag sensor and inspect its normal operation:

[Deployed Airbags]
• Driver's Airbag, [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front passenger airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Side seat airbag [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT BACK]
• Cushion airbag [AIRBAG,FRT SEAT CUSHION]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

• If the side seat airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback frame subassembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage

• If the cushion airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag sub-assembly RH, separate type front seat cushion spring assembly, separate type front seat cushion cover and separate type front seat cushion pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage

• When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all front airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all side airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR]
• When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all rear airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect DTCs before disconnecting the battery.
• Horn button assembly [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Front passenger airbag [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Curtain shield airbag [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Front seat side airbag [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT(Canada Built); AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT (Japan Built)]
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front seat outer belt
• Front seat cushion airbag [AIRBAG,FRT SEAT CUSHION]
• Front seat inner belt
• Airbag sensor assembly [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Front airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• Door side airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR]
• Rear airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• Occupant detection ECU
• Seat position airbag sensor
• Steering wheel
• Instrument panel or Instrument panel reinforcement
• Front pillar garnish and Headliner
• OCS: Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check
• As the SRS parts are very hot after being deployed, ensure that all wire harnesses and connectors around deployed SRS parts are not damaged.

Replace the faulty parts of the seat belt systems (outer belt, inner belt, bolts, nuts, adjustable shoulder anchor, tether anchor hardware and other related parts). When inspecting a vehicle that was in a collision, be sure to check all of the seat belt systems regardless of whether or not the system was activated in the collision. Replace any damaged or malfunctioning systems
