PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the SRS parts are deployed (including when only an airbag or pretensioner is deployed) due to a collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair) and airbag sensor assembly. [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL; MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

• Driver's Airbag [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER], [if deployed]
• Passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL], [if deployed]
• Front seat airbag [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT BACK; AIRBAG,FRT SEAT CUSHION], [if deployed]
• If the side seat airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF], [if deployed]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Even in the case of a minor collision when the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected. If a defect is found (e.g. cracks, dents or any other defects) in any of the housings, brackets or connectors, then replace the part with a new one.

• Airbag sensor assembly
• Front airbag sensors
• Door side airbag sensors
• Side airbag sensor assembly
• Side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly
• Steering pad
• Lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly
• Instrument panel passenger airbag assembly
• Curtain shield airbag assembly
• SRS seat cushion airbag assembly
• Front seat outer belt assembly
• Instrument panel
• Steering wheel
• Inspect the seat frame assembly with deployed seat cushion airbag
• OCS: Perform the zero point calibration and sensitivity check
• When an accident vehicle is brought into the workshop for repair, check the flatness of the floor where the front passenger seat is mounted
• As the SRS parts are very hot after being deployed, ensure that all wire harnesses and connectors around deployed SRS parts are not damaged.
