DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
3. Wait at least three minutes before beginning work

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• If the Passenger Airbag (PAB) has been deployed, replace the damaged crash pad
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• Emergency fastening device [PRETENSIONER,FRT SEATBELT]
• Front Impact Sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]

When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,ROOF; AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY],
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR]
• The side airbag cannot be disassembled from the seat back assembly, so replace assembly when replacing the side airbag [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Before removing any of the SRS parts (including the disconnection of the connectors), always disconnect the SRS connector.

• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring.
