DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
3. Wait at least 30 seconds before beginning to work

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) is/are deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• Replace the crash pad which is damaged when Passenger Airbag (PAB) is deployed

When the side/curtain airbag(s) is/are deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• SRS wiring harnesses
Notice: The side airbag cannot be disassembled from the seat back assembly, so replace the seat back assembly when replacing the side airbag [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring
• Steering wheel
• After the vehicle is completely repaired, confirm that the SRS airbag system is OK.
