DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect battery negative terminal first.
3. Wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Seatbelt pretensioner(s)
• Front impact sensors AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• Replace the crash pad which is damaged while PAB [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL] is deployed

When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR]
• SRS wiring harnesses

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Before doing any SRS repairs, use the GDS Pro to check for DTCs. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code
list for repairing of the related DTCs

• Steering wheel and column
• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage (part of combination switch assembly)
• After the vehicle is completely repaired, confirm the SRS airbag system is OK.
