DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect battery negative terminal first.
3. Wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

For front airbag deployment:

• SRSCM unit [Module, Airbag Control]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL], [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL] and or [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Seatbelt pretensioners
• Front impact sensors
• Any damaged restraint system part

For side/curtain airbag deployment:

• SRSCM unit [Module, Airbag Control]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY] and or [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s)
• Any damaged restraint system part

For seat belt pretensioner(s) deployment:
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• SRSCM unit [Module, Airbag Control]
• Front impact sensor

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

• Steering wheel and column
• Instrument panel
• Clockspring (part of combination switch assembly)
• All airbag system parts and wiring identified by diagnostic unit check
